About theAirport

After more than 25 years, aircraft have returned to Písek-Krašovice Airport in the Czech Republic. The airport is located just over 100 km from the capital city of Prague and has been used by the army since 1965. Initially there was a base for Mi-1 and Mi-4 helicopter squadrons and later a base for national air defence using Tupolev Tu-143 unmanned aircraft.

The army closed the airport in 1995. Since 1 March 2019, the Czech company Primoco UAV SE, a manufacturer of civil and military unmanned aircraft, owns and operates the Písek-Krašovice airport, which now works for general civil aviation, powered gliders and, of course, for the take-off and landing of its own Primoco UAV One 150.

The non-public domestic airport (SLZ area), ICAO code LKPISK, is a general aviation airport with a 580-metre runway 16/34.
